This week was more relaxing for me when compared with the previous ones. I have done my amendments in the final draft of the project and altered some ideas after my dear partners, Sebnem's & Dragana's comments. Therefore, it was just arranging and submitting the work.
I was really fascinated by the topic we have to cover this week. Learning styles was not a new concept for me, but Multiple Intelligence theory is quite new as I came across it few months back. When I did the test myself for the first time, I was surprised to know how true it was for me. That's the moment I started my research on MI and came across many details. But as I said in my Nicenet discussion, I had not tried it in any of my classes so far. That was a BIG mistake, I suppose. When we get used to the old ways of teaching, sometimes we forget the needful. After reading the articles provided for this week, I got a clear idea on how to associate the tool in teaching. By this way I hope we will be able to solve many problems the students face in learning languages.
In fact, I treasure meeting you all!
Hi Partner,
ReplyDeletefinally, we are relieved, having finished the project report and enjoying this week's readings and discussions. It was a pleasure to cooperate with you and hope we do not lose contact in the future. Actually, I believe we will always have a reason to keep in touch:)
Best wishes
Sebnem
Hi Partner,
ReplyDeleteIt was a great pleasure for me too, to join with you and Dragana in commenting on each other's reports. How can I forget you of everybody. As you have correctly mentioned, we will always find a reason to keep in touch.
If you read my previous post (which had not seen by many), you'll realize that I had invited all my colleagues to be life long friends!
Chandy
Hello Chandy,
ReplyDeleteWell said that this relation that came through this course should continue in future. I hope every course participant will have enhanced learning experience after the end of this course and will continue to bring goods in the long run.
Tariq Hayat
Hi Chandy,
ReplyDeleteI do hope we will keep in touch. Whenever you plan to visit Russia send me an email :). I also felt a bit relaxed this week after all the main work on the project was finished and even managed to conduct some extra lessons on tolerance in boarding schools with activities aimed at visual, sensing, intuitive, intrapersonal and interpersonal learners. MI is something we should keep in mind and use in everyday classes to be effective teachers.
Best,
Stasya

Dear Chandy,
ReplyDeleteNo worries!! We will keep in touch if we really think deep about the cross-cultural aspect this wonderful course carries in its nature. Yes, one dimension of the course was to go into our course mates cultures. For sure our paths will meet again.
Earlier in one or two of my posts I had mentioned using Skype to keep in touch. And of course, my country, my home will be always wide open to all of you my dear course mates.PLEASE, COME VISIT:). And on the other hand, even with the little knowledge I have I promise to keep sharing.
So, be happy sweet Chandy and don't worry. HUGS to YOU ALL.
Dear Tariq,Anastasia,Becky,Letty & Khadija,

I've got some of your email numbers. If you don't mind please let me have Khadija & Letty's.
Thanks
Chandy
Will we ever meet?! That sound like so far… But I keep positive and never lose the hope, and after getting to know how knowledgeable you are dear course mates, getting to know you would be the perfect ending for this course!
ReplyDeleteChandy! How are you!?
I hope these lines find you well!
I have been reading your post and, even though I know I am going to sound repetitive, I think it’s very nice to see that no matter how far we are from each other, we still have some very similar feelings and opinions!
I had some time, even though I need more, to check you final project and it looks really interesting. Just reading what you call your intention at the beginning makes me feel really interested about what is coming next. I think it really sounds great the hard work you are putting for your students in the improvements of their English skills, but especially in their reading and writing. As you say that your students are lacking of those skills I do not do other thing but say “that’s right” or, “what a coincidence” or the common “yep” while reading your reflections and your very nice project. I have tried some of the things you wrote in the possible solutions and on in my classroom and I have to say that those are very interesting things to use and discuss about in the classroom.
Your words about the near end of the project and the things you say about Donna keep sounding in my head as those are true words too, and they could easily be part of my own speech too!
Again, it would be like an unbelievable thing for me to get to know you Chandy, Donna, and/or the rest of the course mates, I hope we could do that one day!
Keep on with your great work Chandy, and keep in touch!
Kind regards,
Teacher Henry from Venezuela.
Dear Henry,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words. I appreciate you visitng my Blog often and leaving a post every week.
Hope we all get a chance to meet each other at least for a day but we have to be realistic in undertdning that this will not be so. But as you clearly mentioned, this rapport we had and the knowledge we shared, will take us too far. Its really nice knowing all the nice people around the Globe. Hope to meet you somewhere, with some luck.
Thanks for reading my final project report and commenting on it too.
